Western Washington Balloon JAM

 

If you are a balloon twister and would like to come to a balloon jam in Tacoma, Washington please contact me and I will add you to the mailing list.

 

Western Washington Balloon JAM's have re-started in 2010. I will continue hosting these jam's every Wednesday as long as enough people show interest. These are free events but we do ask that you order something and tip your wait staff to thank them for the use of their restaurant. Bring your balloons, a camera and lets have some fun.

Octopus Tip

I am frequently asked for Blue or Red and sometimes Black Octopi. In the past I have had to answer with I don't have heads in that color but I can do the legs that color. Now thanks to Qualatex's new selections I have an answer for that. While I love the looks of the Spray-on Polka Dots Spring Assortment that come in Spring Lilac, Lime Green, Yellow, Orange, And Rose with tastefully contrasting colored dots, I can add two more colors Pale Blue and Goldenrod by also using the Big Polka Dots Assortment that comes in Pale Blue, Goldenrod, Lime Green, Spring Lilac and Rose all of which have large White Polka Dots. I am not as craze about the large White Polka Dots as I am about the Colorful Spray-on ones but I have not gotten any negative feedback about them. Now for the Red and Black Octopi. Yes Qualatex does have Black balloons with both Spray-on and large White Polka Dots, but I find the Big Polka Dots Red Balloons that are Red with Large Black Polka Dots to work for both.

 

OK now I have bought 250 balloon in three different bags, the Big Polka Dots Red Balloons come in bags of 50, and now I notice that I am getting a build up of one color that is not getting used. While I ask what color Octopi people want, I do not ask when I am making composition balloons like a Fish on a Fishing Pole or a Dog Chasing a Ball Hat. Unless specifically asked I use what ever I need to keep my inventory even.

 

Oh and by the way the Big Polka Dots Red Balloons make really cool Giant Ladybugs.
